How we are building a leading platform in nuclear medicine and radiotherapy

Else Solutions is a highly specialised healthcare technology player with deep know-how in radiation management and nuclear physics, operating in a rapidly growing market driven by innovation in radiopharmaceuticals, nuclear medicine and radiotherapy. Through our investment, we are supporting the company in strengthening its managerial structure, scaling its proprietary production capabilities and accelerating its international expansion, while reinforcing its role in enabling safer, more effective diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

About the investment

Founded in 1990 and headquartered near Milan, Else Solutions designs, manufactures and distributes equipment and services for nuclear medicine and radiotherapy. At the time of 21 Invest Healthcare's entry in 2025, our approach was to build on the company's distinctive strengths: recognised technical know-how, a broad product portfolio, an established Italian distribution platform and a clear opportunity to scale proprietary solutions internationally.

Alessandro Damiano, Partner 21 Invest Healthcare

We saw in Else Solutions a rare combination of deep scientific know-how, entrepreneurial heritage and a clear opportunity to build a stronger platform in a highly specialised healthcare niche. Our role is to preserve the company’s technical DNA while giving it the scale, organisation and international ambition needed for its next stage of growth.

How we added value

  • Strengthening the platform

Supporting the appointment of senior managers and building an organisation ready to scale.

  • Scaling production and innovation

Expanding proprietary solutions in isolators, hot cells, shielded doors, wastewater systems and automated fractioning.

  • Accelerating consolidation and international expansion

Broadening the offer through Radius and reinforcing the group's positioning in radiotherapy and nuclear medicine — the acquisition of Radius completed less than one year after investment.
